Superimpose Architecture

We give people and places
a physical identity.

We design distinctive spaces that express who you are, what you stand for, and where you want to go. Our departure point is always based on what is there in order to find out what we can Superimpose.

About the office

Over a decade of Superimpose. Countless projects brought to life.

For more than a decade, we have transformed ambitious ideas into carefully resolved, high-quality built work. From complex locations and unusual briefs to clients with bold ambitions, we create specific responses rather than standard solutions.

See our projects

We work across disciplines and scales, connecting architecture, interiors and urban planning within one coherent design vision-from a project's place in the city to the smallest material detail.

50+ global design awards, hundreds of international publications.

Recognition matters because it carries the ideas behind our work into a wider architectural conversation. There is still nothing quite like finding one of our projects in a bookstore on the other side of the world and seeing it connect with a new audience.

The Superimpose Architecture studio in The Hague

Enriched by valuable insights, from different people and cultures.

Our two studios connect European and Asian perspectives, knowledge and opportunities. Colleagues from many cultures and backgrounds have contributed to our practice, bringing different experiences and points of view that make both our studio and our work richer.

Sustainability made simple, impact made lasting.

We reuse existing structures, transform what is already there and make deliberate choices that reduce the material and environmental impact of what we build. Sustainability can involve complex questions, but it often begins with a simple decision: use less, preserve more and design for a longer life.
